Mezco Living Dead Dolls
Without doubt the most popular 'horror doll' range ever produced 'The Living Dead Dolls' designed by 'Ed Long' and 'Damien Glonek' are already clear into their 19th series, and going strong. Produced by 'Mezco Toys' the Living Dead Dolls range of Zombie and Horror dolls were first introduced to the market in 1998, and since release have grown around them a huge base of both fans and collectors alike.
'When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.'
The very first Living Dead Dolls (known as 'Handmades') were hand-crafted one-of-a-kinds (also known as 'OOAK's'), and were individually customized dolls created by Ed Long and Damien Glonek using Ed's mothers doll crafting kit. Ed and Damien having managed to sell their initial creations with some ease, set about producing more of their handmade Living Dead Dolls which they continued to sell at horror conventions and the like. And it was during one such convention that one of Ed and Damien's creations was bought by 'Mike (Mez) Markowitz' the founder of 'Mezco Toys.'
Following this transaction Ed and Damien were contacted by Mezco Toys, and with deals made and contracts signed Mezco Toys released the first mass produced range of Living Dead Dolls in 2001.

Initially Based loosely upon the decaying and twisted Zombie characters of movies such as 'Night of the Living Dead' by 'George A. Romero' and 'John A. Russo', the Living Dead Dolls have now grown to embrace all manner of the most fiercesome horror movie villains ever created, including 'Freddy Krueger' and 'Leather Face'.
Zombie Doll Survival Info:
(1) Zombie dolls eat humans (and other dolls).
(2) Zombie dolls usually group together to form a Zombie doll horde.
(3) The average Zombie doll tends to be slow moving so can be easily outrun.
(4) Zombie dolls hate fire.
(5) Being bitten by a Zombie doll will either lead to death or infection.
(6) Once bitten by a Zombie doll the transformation into a zombie can take as little as a few minutes.
(7) The only sure way to kill a Zombie doll is by a bullet or sharp blow to the head (destroy the Zombie dolls brain).

The original handmade collection of Living Dead dolls consisted of eight characters: Sadie, Posey, Sin, Bad Habit, Eggzorcist, Unnamed Witch Doll, Tall lady and Candy Rotten.
