This is an ode to ‘L EAU BLEUE D ISSEY POUR HOMME‘ by Issey Miyake or as I like to call it ‘BLUE’ by Issey Miyake.

Of all the scents I’ve tried Blue Eau de toilette and aftershaves by Issey Miyake are by far my favourites, for me it is the scent of summer, like cut grass and flowers, I’ve got women and even jobs simply from wearing this scent, and whilst this may be one confession too far, it is not unknown for me to spray a little of Issey Miyake Blue on my own arm and pass a happy hour or so sat smelling myself. (is that wrong?)

‘L EAU BLEUE D ISSEY POUR HOMME‘ is a unique scent that never fails to attract attention, and stands far apart from more common scents produced by the likes of Calvin Klein, Hugo, and Joop, etc.

L'eau Bleue D Issey Pour Homme tells a new story of water. Inspired by the elements with notes of Mandarin orange, lemongrass, rosemary,star anise, may rose, ginger, palmarosa, patchouli, sandalwood, musk. And for me with this one the advertising blurb couldn’t be more correct when it says: “L'eau Bleue D'issey Pour Homme is sure to please”, because please it does.

Issey Miyake himself is a Japanese fashion designer who was born 22 April 1938, he is known for his technology-driven clothing designs and exhibitions. Like many fashion designers, Issey Miyake also has a line of perfumes. His first fragrance, the light aquatic-floral L'eau d'Issey for women, was launched in 1992. The name L'eau d'Issey (engl.: Issey's water) is a pun. In French, it sounds identical to "l'odyssée" (engl. odyssey). The scent was followed by L'eau d'Issey Pour Homme (for men) in 1994. L'eau Bleue d'Issey Pour Homme was introduced in 2004;
