GERTY (Moon) Quotes - "Good Morning, Sam!"

There’s something very special about Gerty, from the 2009 movie ‘Moon’. Because while he looks very much like a ‘super’ computer from the 70’s, with a face that’s made up of the sort of ‘smileys’ we all use to communicate our emotions with online these days, in lieu of body-language. There’s something strangely lovable about him. As he assists, and tends to, Sam Bell, the fast deteriorating Astronaut, even to the point of ignoring (or bending the rules of) his programming. Putting the well-being of Sam, above the wishes of the corporation who run the interplanetary mining operation, of which they are both a part.
“I’m here to keep you safe, Sam. I want to help you.”
Voiced by veteran actor ‘Kevin Spacey’. Alongside ‘Sam Rockwell’, as Sam Bell. Gerty is caretaker, nurse, cook, and everything inbetween aboard the moon based mine. And almost magically, for a character that upon the surface, lacks any real definition, or charm. Wins over viewers with his kindly nature, and nurturing warmhearted manner.
Gerty Quotes:
* “Sam, get some sleep. You're very tired.”
* “Sam, I can only account for what occurs on this base.”
* “Good Morning, Sam!”
* “Sam, it might help you to talk about it.”
* “Sam, you said it was the TV that distracted you... but when I came in, the TV wasn't on. Perhaps you were imagining things?”
* “You are Sam Bell!”
* “They do not know that you were recovered alive from the accident.”
* “I'm here to keep you safe, Sam.”
* “Sam, is everything OK?”
* “Helping you is what I do.”
* “Sam, When you first arrived at Sarang, there was a small crash. You woke up in the infirmary. You suffered minor brain damage and memory loss. I kept you under observation and ran some tests.” “Sam, there was no crash. You were being awakened.”
* “I hope life on Earth is everything you remember it to be.”
All quotes, that while not seeming overly special, written down in a list style format as they are above. When delivered by Gerty, in the ever-concerned voice of Kevin Spacey, in this strange little emotionally tense movie, that is ‘Moon’, elevate Gerty to a position alongside the likes of R2-D2, and Johnny Five, as one of the most endearing robots of all time.
