Described by some as resembling ‘human-sized salt and pepper shakers’, the Daleks were created by writer ‘Terry Nation’ and brought to life by BBC designer ‘Raymond Cusick’. And With a single mechanical eye-stalk, an exterminator arm, and a manipulator arm making up the main of their external features, the Daleks, inside their armor, are often described as being ‘repulsive’ slimy clawed ‘mollusk’ like blobs. And rolling around on their ‘caster’ like wheels as they do, zapping anybody within range with their ‘death ray’ the Daleks have haunted the dreams of generation after generation of adults and children alike, as they ceaselessly attempt to ‘EXTERMINATE!’ all within their path.
And with the appeal of the Daleks spanning across all ages, from Grandad to Nephew, and from Aunty to Niece, Dalek remote controlled toys and collectibles make the ideal gift for virtually anybody with even a partial interest in all things SCI-FI or classic television. Unfortunately though, just like the ‘real’ Daleks, they still can’t climb up the stairs. ;)
