Possibly more recognisable than the main characters themselves to those who are not overly familiar with the classic TV show ‘The A-Team’ is the famous foursomes famous van. Known to most simply as ‘The A-Team Van’ this black and red striped, B.A. Baracus customized juggernaut has become something of a pop-culture icon, and will forever hold a place in the hearts of those who first fell in love with The A-Team way back in 1983, and perhaps in the future it will also hold a place in the hearts of those who are just now getting their first real taste of The A-Team, thanks to the 2010 big-budget Hollywood remake.
The A-Team Van

Regarded by some over and above either of their female reporter assistants as the fifth member of The A-Team, the A-Team van is a ‘GMC Vendura’ 1983 G-series, featuring a 350 cid engine, modifications to both the carburetor and the exhaust system, quad headlight conversion, exterior sun visor, custom rear spoiler, fog lights, and a full bull-bar at the front, amongst other modifications.
And as you can see from the majority of the A-Team van models listed above it has become a commonly believed misconception that the original A-Team van featured a solely black and red paint scheme, whereas the A-Team van as featured in the original television series also included gun-metal grey flake-top detailing just above the red side-stripe.
The Future of the A-Team Van

While the teams black, red and grey van was an essential part of the original TV series, the 2010 movie remake quickly disposed of The A-Teams classic vehicle of choice in favor of fast-paced flying scenes, with Murdock destroying the van within the first twenty minutes. But does this spell the end of the GMC Vendura within the following installments that will no doubt follow? Or will B.A. Baracus painstakingly piece back together his much beloved vehicle and return it to its rightful place center-stage with the team, in the movies to come?
